Light and clean color, this wine develops fruity and flora aromas associated with discreet oak. A very nice finish.

The name Fonréaud, previously “Font-réaux”, means Royal Fountain. Legend has it sometime during the 11th century, an English king stopped off here, having found a source to quench his thirst. The château was built in 1855 by Henri Le Blanc de Mauvezin, according to the plans of the architect Garros. In 1962, Fonréaud was purchased by Léo Chanfreau. Today, Jean and Marie-Hélène Chanfreau, as well as Caroline Chanfreau-Philippon are continuing his work.
