He extended his knowledge in making Champagne for Pierre Bertrand in Cumières, in making Condrieu,St. Joseph with Stéphane Montez from Domaine du Monteillet in Chavanay and in making Côte Rotie with Stéphane Ogier from Domaine Michel et Stéphane Ogier in Ampuis. He also undertook a wine making study in the vineyards of Chile and Argentina in 2002.

Jérôme Eymas

In the ’70s, Jean-Pierre Eymas, Jérôme’s father, took over a part of his father René and grandfather Ulysse’s vineyard. He extended the vineyard up to the hills of Saint-Palais where Nicole’s parents were farming vines, grains and cattle. The family members worked alongside each other and Jean-Pierre and his wife Nicole settled into their new winery and called it Château La Rose Bellevue.
Since succeeding his father as the head of winemaking in 1997, Jérôme Eymas has been in charge of both the vineyard and cellar. Honing his skills as a winemaker from his parent’s legacy, he furthered his experience by obtaining a BTS in viticulture/oenology in Blanquefort. His creativity and distinctive style were enhanced from 1993 to 1996 when he gained valuable working experience in prestigious properties all over the world. From Australia (Pfeiffer, Rutherglen), Chile and Switzerland to the appellation of Saint-Joseph (Domaine du Monteillet), Condrieu and Côte Rôtie (Domaine Michel et Stéphane Ogier). He also gained experience as a winemaker assistant for three vintages in Champagne.

In 2001, his wife Valérie joined the family business – applying her marketing and sales experience in both France and abroad.
