About Winery

Domaine Maratray-Dubrueil is a family winery based in Ladoix (between Beaune & Nuit St. Georges). The focus of their parcels is the legendary Corton Hill just north of Beaune. Their estate holdings total just over 38 acres with 16 (11 red and 5 white) different appellations consisting of Bourgogne, Villages, Premier Cru, Monopole and Grand Cru Corton white and red wines. All elements of the production are done by hand. The land, the vines, the vinification and bottling all are owned and worked by Marie Madeleine Maratray and her brother François-Xavier. They are the third generation and receive a little assistance from their Father during harvest and in winemaking.  The Domaine has gained more and more attention in France recently with their unique consistent style. We think their wines have a pretty style--floral, fresh and perfect for lunch and dinner. Their red wines contain supple fruit, soft tannin and an elegant terroir less aggressive and more ready to drink than wines from its northern neighbor the Cote de Nuit.
