Champagne Tarlant Rosé Zero Brut Nature N.V

Region: France, Champagne

Retail Price: S$ 112.00

About the Wine: Rosé Zero is an invitation to revel in the most explosive of pink Champagnes, redolent with the natural flavours of fruits and spices. The contemporary elegance of the bottle, the rarity of zero sugar dosage and the generosity of the emotions it produces makes it a unique pink Champagne.

About the WineryAt the heart of the left bank of the Marne Valley, Benoit Tarlant is gradually taking over from his parents the 14 ha vineyards. He cultivated this vineyard with care, using only organic fertilisers. His vinegrowing is painstaking, perfectly adapted to the mosaic of different soils and subsoils with flint-bearing sand, through clay and limestone to pure chalk.
A real policy of vintages has been adopted and like the very best Champagne houses, the Tarlant only release their wines at their peak after eight to ten years cellaring.

For the White Wine Lover

Lis Neris Pinot Grigio 2014

Region: Italy, Friuli

Retail Price: S$56.00

About the Wine: Fermentation of this 100% Pinot Grigio takes place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 20-22°C. Maturation on the fine lees in the same tank continues for 8 months with frequent bâtonnage. After bottling the wine is cellared for a brief period before release. It displays aromatics of pink fruits in a terroir driven style – rich and soft with a gently savoury finish

About the Winery: Over the last few years Lis Neris’s wines have moved up another notch in quality. One of the changes has been a move towards picking slightly earlier in order to preserve freshness, which seems to paying big dividends. Alvaro Pecorari opened a 2003 Pinot Grigio Gris, from one of the most torrid vintages in memory, to show the ageability of his wines. At nearly ten years of age, the 2003 Gris has developed beautifully in bottle. Most of the single-vineyard whites are aged in 400-liter barrels with batonnage.

Isole e Olena Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

Region: Italy, Tuscany

Retail Price: S$130.00

About the Wine: The Cabernet Sauvignon Collezione De Marchi is so exceptionally elegant and refined. At nearly six years of age, it remains an infant, with layers of dark red fruit that hover on a fabric of finely knit tannins. Dark raspberries, underbrush, menthol and licorice emerge gradually over time, yet this remains a very young wine in need of significant cellaring.

Rated 97 points by Antonio Galloni

About the Winery: The name “Isole e Olena” was conceived in the 1950’s when two adjoining estates, “Isole” and “Olena” were purchased by the De Marchi family and were combined to form one. The history of both estates dates back many hundreds of years, and the earliest documentation of the village of Olena as far back as the 12th Century. Isole was founded as an agricultural farm in the 1700’s by the Elmi family who retained control of it until the present century. Isole is now the center of production for the Isole e Olena estate.
