About the Winery: Four generations have worked at the Pieropan family estate since its foundation in 1890, each contributing something different depending on their generation, their knowledge and their entrepreneurial spirit. Viticulture and vinification began with Leonildo, a doctor in the small town of Soave, who, driven by his understanding of biology and chemistry began working in the family vineyards and cellars.

About the Wine: La Rocca exhibits good intensity, yet remains sleek, medium-bodied and graceful overall. The saline-tinged underpinning supports flavors of baked yellow peach and toasted hazelnut, with hints of vanilla and oak spice, before returning and echoing on the finish.

Cave Yves Cuilleron Crozes Hermitage Rouge Laya 2012

About the Winery: Established in 1920, the Cave Yves Cuilleron winery has since been run by three generations. About the Wine: Bright purple. Vibrant cherry and cassis scents are complemented by incense, violet and smoky minerals. Supple red berry, cherry-cola and bitter chocolate flavors combine power and finesse, with zesty minerality adding lift. A lively and polished rendition of Crozes that finishes with nervy cut and silky, slow-building tannins

 Chateau de Berne Terres de Berne 2014

About the Winery: Château de Berne spans 1,250 acres of sumptuous countryside in the heart of Provence. Niched between garrigue and olive groves, its 290 acres of wine-producing plots are planted with Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, Carignan, Viognier, Merlot, Sémillon, Ugni Blanc and Rolle grape varieties.

About the Wine: Pretty, luminous, salmon-pink robe tinted with gold. Delectable bouquet, with notes of red fruits (strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant). Round, refreshing and perfectly balanced in the mouth, very smooth and agreeable, with notes of white fruit. Fruity and very long finish.

Champagne Boizel Grand Vintage 2004

About the Winery: Founded in 1834, Champagne Boizel has cultivated excellence since its origins by respecting the values of authenticity and commitment to the best quality. In 180 years of existence, this family house has forged its reputation on the subtlety of its blends and the finesse of its different Champagnes. Then as now, each generation pursues the adventure by combining respect of tradition with a capacity for innovation to continue to produce Champagnes that are constantly more refined and more appealing.

About the Wine: To elaborate a Grand Vintage, only grapes with the potential to produce wines with finesse and ability for long aging are selected. The blend for 2004 is 50% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier. Only the first pressing (the Cuvee) is selected. After bottling the Grand Vintage has been aged for 8 years in deep cellars before release.
