Think of a fine Italian biodynamic winery and the name Tenuta Musella often comes to mind. A stone’s throw from the city of Verona, this beautiful self-contained estate lies in the hills of San Martino Buon Albergo alongside forests, waterways, ancient country houses, all within a fenced-in natural park. We spoke to Maddalena about her favourite grape varietals, her biodynamic practices, and experimentation with new winemaking techniques!

Which is the most famous grape varietal in the world? It's a tight match between Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir, but we're leaning towards the former. After all, it's one of the wines you'd see everywhere in the world - if you drink wine, you drink Cabernet Sauvignon. It's also grown in every wine-producing country out there.

The Limarí Valley is one of Chile’s lesser-known regions. Situated 200 miles north of the country’s capital, Santiago, it is one of the northernmost winegrowing regions in the whole of Chile. At a latitude of 30° south, in close proximity to the Atacama Desert and with mountain ranges rising to over 1000m of altitude, this is a region on the very edge of the winemaking world – it is also home to the iconic Viña Tabalí.
