Ah, Chardonnay... the granddaddy of all white wine grapes and one of the most widely planted around the world. After all, this varietal is versatile and well-suited to a wide variety of soils, thought it particularly excels in terroirs with a higher limestone content, such as Champagne, Chablis, and the Côte D`Or. Chardonnay is also an important grape for California, New Zealand and Australia, and is widely planted in Chile and South Africa. This National Wine Day (25 May) and Chardonnay Day (26 May), we celebrate by giving you 10% off selected bottles from now to 29 May.

This year's Dragon Boat Festival falls on 3 June, so we thought what better time to share our wine pairing tips for the different types of bak chang available, as some of them are more savoury, sweeter, or even oilier than others.
