Introducing Champagne Chapuy Unique Oger 2014

 

Introducing a very exclusive premium cuvée from Champagne Chapuy, coming from a confidential Grand Cru plot in Oger. Only 1,440 of such bottles are produced.

 

Everything begins in the vineyards of Oger Grand Cru village. Elodie and her sister, Aurore decided to reach the most perfect synergy between the characteristics of the Earth and the Human. Thus, Unique Oger is the offspring of our sustainable viticulture, combined with ploughing by horse further enhancing the aeration of the soil.

In order to measure the benefits of these eco-friendly vinegrowing practices carried out on the high-quality alluvial soil of Oger, this cuvée has been isolated from year to year, until it became an extraordinary elegant and pure wine.

The exceptional purity and quality of Unique Oger 2014 reaches its peak when paired with an exquisite gastronomic experience. The wine expresses a great potential, aromas are magnified, bringing us delicate notes of white flowers and fresh white fruits. The finish ends on a very subtle iodized notes.

In order to enhance this incredible complexity of aromas and textures, we have worked on the perfect food pairing with a renowned sommelier in Champagne.
Pairing : Poultry supreme with a Tajine touch, combining sweet spices, yellow raisins, coriander and argan oil.

Varieties: 100% Chardonnay from Oger Grand Cru

Harvest: 2014

Process: Malo-lactic Fermentation 100% blocked

Dosage: Brut Nature (3g/l of sugar, disgorged on 13/12/2018)

Color: Deep yellow gold colour, with fine and dynamic effervescence

Nose: The wine reveals complex aromas of ripe, almost jammy white fruits

Palate: The first impression is intense. The fruity notes of the nose are sublimated in the mouth. Creamy bubbles give the champagne a beautiful richness. The finish is long and marked by a very pleasant salinity and a great balance.

How to Enjoy: A promising wine, with a finesse that will perfectly match a supreme of poultry with candied lemon, or a steamed white fish with a sabayon-style sauce with orange and mandarin.
