We've talked a lot about family-owned wineries, but how about a winery started by friends? Azienda Agricola COS is one of our featured wineries of the month. They also produce wine from the island's only DOCG: Cerasuolo di Vittoria, made from a blend of Nero d'Avola and Frappato. Since they recently ended harvest season, we were able to catch up with their Export Manager Biagio Distefano to talk about this year's harvest.

Lis Neris is located in the centre of the famous wine-growing region of Friuli, in the village of San Lorenzo, between the Slovenian border to the North and the right bank of the Isonzo river to the South. Today, the winery is led by winemaker Alvaro Pecorari, whose goal is to produce the highest quality of wines while creating the ideal growing conditions. We speak to him about his passion for wine, his special Pinot Grigio, and passing on the reins as winemaker to his daughter.
