RODA cultivates 120 hectares of vineyard, 70 of those are self-owned and the 50 hectares left are from local growers with which we have different agreements. They are distributed in different ecosystems that go from altitudes of 380m to 650m above sea level. Represents of one the two profiles of the ripening of Tempranillo: the red fruit.

In RODA we look for the parcels that that year have ripened in a red fruit profile, with the expression of the aromas present in the edge of the glass, ready to be felt immediately; with sweet spice notes and a kind freshness. In the mouth the red fruit carries the importance, with a fresh, long, silky, voluptuous and continuous mouth pass. Before vintage 2002, RODA was called RODA II.

Tasting Note

Intense cherry red color and red rim.
The wood is impeccably integrated. The nose is very intense and the fruit stands out above all else. In this case it is a red line and reminiscent of cherry. There is complexity, with a nice range of spicy notes and above all freshness. It is a curiosity that in the 2022 vintage, characterized by drought and heat waves, there are such fresh wines.
It has good volume, of medium level, with a lot of red profile fruit, very juicy, reminiscent of cherries. The tannins are very fine, of great quality, and make it a pleasant and very seductive wine. The red fruit in this wine is above all else, but this does not mean that it is only a fruity wine, underneath there are layers of fine spices and memories of the landscape. The fresh cherry is the one that stands out, giving character to a delicious wine. It looks like an Atlantic vintage! Surely, the very high tempera tures of 2022 stopped the vineyard's functions and it is as if he forgot about those episodes that are not noticeable at all in the tasting. It's hard to explain.
