An immediate ascent of violet, musk, and tomato leaf laced with star anise, cinnamon, and orange zest. Followed by the classic sweet plum and mulberry notes of the mountain-based Napa merlot. The palate is polished, highly stylized, and exudes class. It is savory, mouth-watering, and succulent, yet linear with darker fruits, iodine, and pencil shavings. The mid-palate is taught, enigmatic and loaded with exquisite dark fruits. All supported by refined and finely textured new French oak.

Vineyard Notes: A moderate vintage with a small crop that made wines of concentration. This vintage is reminiscent of 2013 with regard to structure and concentration, but better balanced with fruit character at bottling. Focused, pure, laser like, but great concetration as well.
