Not many know that Malbec actually originated from the South-West of France in Cahors. The first written traces of harvest date back to 1503 at the vineyard from Château Lagrézette, over 300 years before Malbec made its way to Argentina in 1853. This pair from France and Argentina shows good comparision between the elegant style of French Malbec and the robust approach from the later.
