For the Grand Vintage, only grapes that have the potential to produce wines with great finesse and ageing potential are selected. The blend is composed of 50% Pinot Noir from the vineyards of Cumières, Mailly and Vertus, 40% Chardonnay from the vineyards of Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Chouilly and Vertus and 10% Meunier from the vineyards of Pierry (exclusively first press juice). After 7 years’ ageing in the House’s cellars, the 2014 Grand Vintage is now ready to reveal its power and subtlety. Only the first press (the cuvee) is used. After bottling, the Grand Vintage has been ageing for 8 years in our cellars for a slow development to reveal its full potential. The dosage is low (4 gr/ l).

Light gold in colour, with fine persistent bubbles. The nose opens with a wide range of intense and generous aromas. Notes of almond, citrus, candied orange and brioche intermingle with great balance. On the palate, the wine is deep and complex, underpinned by a refined, silky texture. Elegant notes of pastry come to the forefront. The freshness of the aromas is combined with finesse, and the fullness with freshness, in a dazzling finish.
