The Wine
This family domaine has very beautiful parcels of land in the village of Gevrey in particular, with the premier cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques, and grand crus, Mazis, Charmes and Chambertin. The domaine’s wines are powerful and require a few years aging to reveal their full potential. This Charmes Chambertin is powerful, concentrated and distinguished. It should be aged for five to ten years to fully unveil its finesse.

One of the essential fields of Gevrey-Chambertin , this house already existed in the 1730s. The estate covers 18 hectares, with 5 grands crus vineyards covering 2/3 Chambertin, Latricières-Chambertin, Charmes-Chambertin, Mazis-Chambertin, Mazoyères-Chambertin and 1/3 in Gevrey-Chambertin. In growing, Domaine Camus develops the use of natural fertilizers and minimizes the herbicides. The harvest is manual, of course, use of enamel tanks and screw presses for breeding in oak barrels which can vary from 18-24 months. Remarkably, 90% of bottles are encirées, tradition but also answer to customer demand! Last but not least, the price policy very ... "reasoned ". The prices quoted on a year are for life, even an old vintage price remains at his year. An amazing place for the quality and price of its Grands Crus.
