Pale gold with greenish glints. Bright, luminous and limpid. The nose is rich and ripe, full of flowers while revealing its fruity aromas of sweet and suave scents. On the palate, the wine is powerful with a pronounced mineral character that enhances the fruits.
Domaine de la Cornasse is led by Nathalie Geoffroy. Established in 1850 her family winery is regarded locally as one of the classic Chablisenne producers. They make Bourgogne Blanc, Chablis, Premier Cru and Grand Cru Chablis wines at their winery in the village of Beines and the appellation of Chablis. Their vineyards rest on Kimmeridgian soil--the ancient bed of of the Atlantic Ocean that is now clay/limestone with a heavy, nutrient blessed, mixture of fossilized oysters, fish skeletons and other sea life.
