This is the organic & biodynamic viticulture of Gramona, which produced using a craft process from the early 20th century and recognised as a compostable material by the Catalan Waste Agency. This process is a 100% compostable cellophane which able to sustain a consistent quality and affordability.
Selected on site and in the cellar, the grapes of this Corpinnat sparkling wine from Penedès were gently pressed and separately vinified according to the variety.
Then they were blended and bottled. Finally, Gramona Imperial 2016 was aged over 50 months and added shipping liquor after its disgorging.
The touch of ‘expedition liqueur’ from our solera, which is well over a century old, gives this cava our unmistakable signature, a symbol of elegance that has made this cava a classic for its loyal drinkers.
- Pale yellow with golden highlights
- Good intensity. Ripe white fruit such us apple and peach. Aniseed notes, fennel. Nice balance between notes of freshly baked bread and subtle citrus peel aromas. Dried nuts. Subtle toast and yeast notes with buttery aromas.
- Wide on entry, full and creamy on the palate. Velvet-like bubbles. Refreshing finish. The white flowers and fruit aromas come through again on the palate against a backdrop of freshly baked bread. A sparkling wine with structure, which shows its personality and finesse year after year.
