The Wine
Pastora is a “Pasada” characteristic chamomile for its golden colour. The wine has marked aromas, with yeast, nut flavor and chamomile. Especially smooth in the mouth, with a fine after taste.
In 1975 Barbadillo launched its Castillo de San Diego wine, a perfect example of innovation applied to traditional winemaking, and in just a few years it achieved great commercial success. Today, it is the most widely sold white wine in Spain. Bodegas Barbadillo is currently active in more than 50 international markets including the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Denmark and the U.S.A. A strong diversification strategy has resulted in a number of distinct outcomes for Barbadillo; the presence of its main brands at an international level; the innovative development of an Andalucian red wine called Gibalbín; entry into other D.O.s and various other projects directly related to its entrepreneurial activities. The latter is highlighted with a portfolio that includes Bodegas y Viñedos Vega Real in the D.O. Ribera del Duero and the Sierra de Sevilla company, a distributor of quality pork products made from Iberian pigs raised in the Sierra Norte de Sevilla National Park. The recent acquisition of a 76% stake in Bodega Pirineos in D.O. Somontano completes the impressive and comprehensive portfolio.
