Purchased in 1988 by François Mitjavile (the owner of Tertre Roteboeuf), this domaine has managed, within a few years, to establish itself as one of the Côtes de Bourg's outstanding wines, capable of rivalling Saint Emilion's finest. Located on the banks of the Gironde, near the town of Bourg, the vineyard lies on sloping ground with a particularly favourable microclimate: the proximity of the river acts as a buffer against the cold and protects it against frost.

Roc de Cambes, made mainly with Merlot (60%), has good structure and presents excellent concentration. On tasting, it develops delicious chocolaty aromas. A magnificent wine: the very best of the Libournais region.

Roc de Cambes is best paired with all types of classic meat dishes, veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted, braised, and grilled dishes.

Roc de Cambes is also good when matched with Asian dishes, rich fish courses like tuna, mushrooms, and pasta.
