In the 1860’s Buena Vista covered more than 6,000 acres reaching from the southernmost part of Sonoma Valley into Napa County. Both regions oer a unique terroir – the magical combination of all the attributes required to create outstanding wines of a particular site – from the soil, to the climate, to the site’s exposure to the sun, to the vine itself. Our Chateau Buena Vista Cabernet Sauvignon celebrates and honors Buena Vista’s indelible presence and significant contributions to the California wine world. Buena Vista has returned to Napa Valley, where Cabernet is the King, if not the Count.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were sourced from a range of vineyards across the breadth of Napa Valley, with the core sites surrounding the estate vineyard in St. Helena, which provide the black fruit on the nose and velvety texture on the palate. Important partner vineyards in Atlas Peak and Oak Knoll allow us to flesh out the dimensions of the wine - lending length and a touch of bright red fruit to the nose.
