DOURTHE
About Winery

Since 1840, we have developed over the years a distinctive culture that can be defined by a special bond with the soil, team spirit, a love for the finer things and a quest for perfection. This culture forms the foundation of the Dourthe signature style, which has today become a benchmark in quality in Bordeaux.

Dourthe manages more than 500 hectares of vines in Bordeaux, including Château Belgrave 5th Classified Growth from 1855 classification. Every measure possible is put in place to obtain the finest grapes, including adapting the vines and planting density to the profile of the soil and desired yields, based on extensive research, and tending the vines with meticulous care and attention using sustainable protection throughout the growing cycle.

Through its close-knit partnerships with growers selected for their terroirs and quality Potential, rigorously monitoring the finest blocks of vines, selection of only the highest quality grapes and meticulous winemaking and ageing, Dourthe has developed a true mastery in ageing fine wines, with wines such as Dourthe No.1 and Essence de Dourthe.
